The driver will attempt one delivery before leaving a notice of delivery and taking the package to the local delivery depot. The package would only be left in an inconspicuous location at the door if the sender had selected "signature not required" upon delivery on the waybill.
If no one is home Purolator will leave a slip instructing you to pick up the package at the nearest Purolator depot. However, if you call the number on the slip, you can also reschedule delivery for another day if you'd prefer.
