TikTok Shop has presented vendors with a new option – a logistics programme called Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT). Those using the new FBT service will provide stock to TikTok Shop to be stored in a warehouse before being shipped to customers. Warehouse staff will pick, pack, and label the merchandise before it is shipped, with TikTok Shop also offering services such as inserting leaflets into packages and photographing them for an additional fee.
How can TikTok Shop merchants use FBT in UK?
- Shops that register with FBT give some of their goods to be kept in a warehouse. However, they don't need to store their entire inventory there. They can choose specific items they want to handle with FBT.
- When a shop's products are in the FBT warehouse, and someone orders something, the warehouse gets the item ready and sends it out, all in one smooth process.
- To use FBT, shops need to be in the UK and send items only within the UK. Also, each package can't weigh more than 30kg or be bigger than 31.5 liters in size.
- TikTok Shop charges fees for warehousing, shipping and other added value services such as labelling, pre-packing and inserting leaflets
