The Chronopost express delivery service has an associate status with La Poste with an agreement to send express parcels and letters from La Poste offices. They are mainly used by the business community, but equally available to individuals.
Packages with tracking number format CC..FR, on export to United States, India, Vietnam, Australia, change the first two letters to EB..FR and are tracked via EMS. By analogy CW..FR, CK..FR, are changed on export to EW .. FR, EK..FR.
In United Kingdom CC..FR shipment from France are delivered by Parcelforce and are assigned new tracking number that looks like E...GB
Both Colissimo and Chronopost offer a national as well as an international service.
There are various different types of offers within these two services, notably relating to the speed and level of security of the service. They also offer packaging (emballage) for the goods, but at a price.
The Chronopost tariffs start at around €35 for delivery within France, and from around €50 for delivery within Europe.
A less expensive route is to use Colissimo, who deliver parcels up to 30kg in weight and 2 metre in length, breadth, or height.
The Colissimo service undertakes to deliver within 48 hours in France. Indicative dates for international delivery using their Colis International service are 4 to 9 days, depending on destination.
